The X3 began the last leg of its month-long U.S. Demo Tour with a final stop in the Washington, D.C., metro area. On Monday in Manassas, Virginia, local media received a presentation from Marc Paganini, president of American Eurocopter, the X3 team and Steve Mundt, vice president of Business Development for EADS North America. The technological demonstrator then performed a flight demonstration and was on static display for dignitaries, local elected officials, company employees as well as the news media.
After beginning its Demo Tour in Grand Prairie, Texas with flights for civil customers, the X3 then visited army bases in Huntsville, AL, and Fayetteville, NC, before arriving in the D.C. area. The X3 is scheduled to continue military flight demonstrations at Fort Belvoir’s Davison Army Airfield on July 24 and 25, where guest pilots will again experience the X3 up close and personal during a display flight. The U.S. Demo Tour will conclude on July 26 at the Pentagon.
